SANTA MONICA, Calif., July 8, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Veggie Grill, the leading fast-casual restaurant concept that celebrates veggies in innovative ways, today announced the launch of nine new summer menu items.  New dishes incorporate fresh off-the-grill veggies and capture the energized and playful essence of summer with re-imagined versions of classic favorites.

The sunshine summer menu is available at all locations and offers a diverse selection of entree salads, hot sandwiches, homestyle plates, bowls, snacks & shares.  The new dishes burst with craveable summer flavors in each bite -- from chargrilled street corn to Latin-inspired succotash loaded with fresh vegetables. The limited time seasonal menu includes:

  • Crispy Cauliflower – A creative twist on the trendy vegetable of 2014. Fresh cauliflower is hand-breaded, fried and tossed in a sweet/spicy orange glaze, topped with toasted sesame and green onions.
  • Seasonal Harvest Salad – Fresh, chargrilled peaches, tossed with arugula and romaine, avocados, roma tomatoes, shaved beets, roasted pecans and quinoa, infused with a citrus vinaigrette.
  • Grilled Portobello Skewers – Tamari-marinated, chargrilled portobello planks on a bed of quinoa pilaf, served with a Mediterranean cucumber and tomato salad, tzatziki sauce and grilled lavash. Savory and satisfying and even better when wrapped in the freshly grilled lavash.
  • Latin Succotash Bowl – A flavorful bowl with a warm kick. Seasoned black beans, shaved chargrilled cob corn, avocado, tomato corn salsa, jalapenos, tortilla strips, red pepper chile sauce, stacked on quinoa pilaf with dried grapes and almonds.
  • B.T.L.A – A nutritious twist on a classic favorite. This sandwich features smokey tempeh bacon, sliced tomatoes, avocado, tossed arugula, aioli mayo, on toasty sourdough with a hint of garlic and cilantro.
  • Chargrilled Street Corn – Sweet corn grilled "elote" style over open flame, drizzled with southwestern mayo, soy parmesan and cilantro. Great with a squeeze of lime.  
  • Black Beans + Quinoa Mini Bowl – Ideal for a lite bite. Seasoned black beans, quinoa pilaf with dried grapes and almonds, showered with a red pepper chile sauce.
  • Fresh Little Salad – Like its name implies, this little salad features an arugula and romaine mix, shaved chargrilled cob corn, cucumbers, shaved beets and sliced almonds.
  • Seasonal Fruit Creation – The perfect additional to any meal. Chargrilled peaches lightly tossed in agave nectar with VG crema and a dash of cinnamon.

These limited time summer items with prices ranging from $3.75 - $10.95 will join Veggie Grill's signature favorites such as the Quinoa Power Salad, Santa Fe Crispy Chickin' Sandwich, All Hail Kale Salad, Bombay Bowl, and the ever-popular Buffalo Wings.
