Suncoast Rehab Center’s Adult Residential Level II treatment program recently received a performance rating score of 100% for the third consecutive year by the State of Florida.
Spring Hill, FL (PRWEB) November 26, 2012
Suncoast Rehab Center (SRC), a Spring Hill drug rehab facility with a 76% success rate, was awarded 100% performance rating by the Florida Department of Children & Families for the third year in a row. The annual inspection determines whether facilities are eligible for licensing. Suncoast believes it is their responsibility to maintain the highest rating for their facility, as this represents their commitment to keeping clients and staff safe while at the facility for drug and alcohol rehabilitation.
The Substance Abuse and Mental Health (SAMH) Program, within the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF), is the single state authority on substance abuse and mental health as designated by the federal Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). The Department’s SAMH Program oversees a statewide system of care for the prevention, treatment and recovery of children and adults with serious mental illnesses and/or substance abuse disorders.
The Substance Abuse Program is responsible for a continuum of community-based services including prevention, treatment and detoxification, as well as the oversight of the licensure and regulation of all substance abuse providers in the state.
The report of the recent site visit by the DCF included narrative such as, “The facility promotes easy access and a comfortable atmosphere conducive to therapeutic interaction. The facility grounds were neatly kept and provided sufficient space and confidentiality for performing therapeutic interaction. Suncoast Rehab Center is in compliance with all mandated zoning and occupational licenses.” Additionally upon a review of the SRC Policy & Procedures manual, personnel records and client records, a performance rating score of 100% was given.
The purpose of Suncoast Rehab Center is to get people off of drugs in a healthy, natural way and put them back in the driver’s seat with the tools to remain drug–free and succeed. At SRC, they don’t just get people off drugs; they bring them back to the way they were before they ever started taking drugs.
This involves long-term residential treatment, including sauna detoxification that removes drug residues and toxins which cause cravings and relapse; life-skills and cognitive therapy that get to the bottom of the addiction, discovering what caused the drug use in the first place.
“We don’t consider our licensing obligations just an exercise to get a score, but rather we understand that it is for the benefit, overall health and success of our clients. The State policies incorporate very easily into our own [policies],” commented Tammy Strickling, CEO of Suncoast Rehab. “It is an overall, well-rounded approach to not only remaining in compliance, but continually upgrading our quality assurance programs so that the clients, their families and our communities all win.”
Suncoast Rehab Center will continue to offer exceptionally high-quality services, and will continue to strive to achieve 100% in future inspections from the Florida Department of Children and Families.
