Tallahassee - Are you the next American Idol?

FOX49 will be hosting Tallahassee Idol auditions on Thursday, July 2 (TODAY) @ 5pm at the Turner Auditorium at TCC!

Here's a brief description of the format for the Idol auditions:

All entrants must sign in and bring a photo ID to verify age, address and phone # and sign a waiver. Of these entrants, up to 75 will be randomly drawn to be contestants and called up to perform on stage.

In the First Round, all selected contestants will get to perform up to 1 minute of a song of their choice, acapella (no musical accompaniment). Judges will score each contestant to determine who advances to the Second Round.

In the Second Round, the Top 15-20 contestants will get to perform up to 2 minutes of the song they choose after the First Round, with musical accompaniment. Judges will score and determine Top 5 finalists.

In the Final Round, the Top 5 contestants will get to perform an entire song they chose after being selected for semi-finals. Judges will score and determine the Tallahassee Idol winner.

The song choices for the final two rounds will be selected from the music catalog provided by Big Bob’s Music Machine prior to the beginning of the Second Round.
